HARD ENOUGH TO TOUCH, CLOSE ENOUGH TO MISS
LED light, steel, site-specific installation 2024
This work evokes the presence of the border wall while serving as a metaphor for both division and possibility. The contrast between the cold steel exterior and the light within—visible only from certain angles—reflects the elusive nature of privilege and opportunity. It questions who has access to these possibilities and whether they are truly attainable for those on the margins.

The pillars form a visual narrative of restricted access and unevenly distributed opportunities. They function as both physical and symbolic barriers—structures that divide yet also create spaces for light and possibility. The selective visibility of the light adds a layer of complexity, suggesting that privilege and opportunity are not universally accessible but depend on one's position and perspective.
